Leah Rogers graduated from WVU in May 2025 with a degree in Human Nutrition & Foods and is now a master’s student in the Davis College Nutritional & Food Science program. Her research interests include school nutrition, nutrition policy, and clinical nutrition. Her future goals include becoming a pediatric clinical Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and working in academia.
Cameron Speaker
Makenna Jade Ortiz Noland is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and PhD candidate at West Virginia University, where her research focuses on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and the role of dietitians in delivering lifestyle interventions for emerging adults. With a background in agriculture, she developed an early interest in nutrition and public health across the lifespan. Makenna earned her B.S. from the University of Alabama and her M.S. in Gerontology with a nutrition specialization from the University of Southern California, and completed her dietetic internship at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital. She currently works as a Clinical Dietitian at WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital, providing patient-centered care to pediatric populations, and is passionate about integrating nutrition, culture, and clinical care to support healthier communities.
