Jaedon Alberts-Wheeler is an Exercise Physiology student at West Virginia University planning to graduate in May 2026. He is interested in the relationship between nutrition and health, particularly in the context of childhood obesity and disease prevention. Jaedon plans to attend dental school after graduation and pursue a career in dentistry. He is passionate about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and expanding his knowledge to improve both personal and community health outcomes.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Julia Bailey is an undergraduate student at West Virginia University with experience in both clinical and community healthcare settings. She currently works as a clinical associate at WVU Medicine and volunteers at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, where she assists with patient support and care. Julia is dedicated to developing her skills in healthcare and is passionate about helping others through patient-centered service and communication.

Aya Hasino is an honors Exercise Physiology student at West Virginia University on the Health Professions track with a minor in Nutrition and Food Studies. She has experience working in both healthcare and customer service settings, including her role as a nursing assistant where she provides direct patient care. Aya is interested in expanding her leadership skills and pursuing a career in healthcare that integrates nutrition and clinical practice.

Andrea Graham is an Exercise Physiology student at West Virginia University with a strong interest in pursuing medical school. She has experience in customer service, leadership, and healthcare settings, including volunteering with WVU Medicine and serving in leadership roles in campus organizations. Andrea is passionate about gaining research experience to strengthen her academic and professional development in the medical field.

Magdalene Sakkos is a Health and Well-Being major with a minor in Psychology at West Virginia University, pursuing the pre-medical track. Her academic and personal experiences have shaped her interest in nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and behavior change. She is particularly interested in how lifestyle factors, including diet and physical activity, can be used as preventative and long-term strategies to improve health outcomes. Magdalene plans to pursue a career in medicine, with interests in fields such as internal medicine or neurology, where she can integrate clinical care with preventative approaches. In her free time, she enjoys working with her community and participating in activities that promote health and well-being.

Ashlee Williams is a Human Nutrition and Foods major with a minor in Public Health at West Virginia University. She is interested in the intersection of nutrition, healthcare systems, and policy, with a focus on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice. Ashlee has experience in sports nutrition and community health initiatives, including working with WVU Athletics and promoting nutrition education. She plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Dietetics and ultimately combine her interests in dietetics and health law to advocate for patients and improve healthcare systems.
